Pure and strontium(Sr)-doped Barium Hydrogen Phosphate(BHP) were grown in the form of single crystals by gel technique. Gel growth parameters were investigated. XRD and FTIR analyses confirm the slight distortion in the structure of BHP crystal when it is doped with strontium. The diffracting planes of the grown crystals have been identified from powder XRD studies. Density of the grown crystals was calculated using the XRD data. TG/DTA studies of pure and Sr-doped BHP crystals were carried to analyze the thermal stability. The influence of Sr-doping on dielectric properties of grown pure and Sr-doped BHP crystals was analyzed. Atomic absorption study was carried out for Sr-doped BHP crystal to check the presence of Sr dopants. The results are presented and discussed in this paper. PACS: 77.80.-e, 77.80.Bh, 71.20.Dg
