For microseismic monitoring of hydraulic fractures, the accuracy of fracture imaging depends on both the amount of detected microseismic events and the accuracy of located microseism sources. And the accuracy of the source locations is strongly affected by the precision of the velocity models and arrival times. Therefore, reliable detection of microseismic events and accurate picking of arrival times are of significant importance in microseismic monitoring technique.
