高精度材料二次电子产额测试装置的设计与研究

在粒子加速器中,粒子与真空室相互作用产生的二次电子对束流品质有很大影响。特别是对于正电子和质子加速器,大量电子会导致电子云,这对稳定性、能量、发射度和束流寿命产生不利影响。我们研究了用于加速器的金属的二次电子发射(SEE)。设计了一个带有50 - 5000电子伏特低能电子枪的SEE测量系统。利用二次电子发射产额(SEY)测试装置,我们获得了不锈钢和无氧铜的SEY。不锈钢和无氧铜的最大SEY分别为2.5和1.82。与其他研究机构报告的结果相比,表明我们的SEY测试装置是可靠的。
: In particle accelerators, the secondary electrons resulting from interaction between particles and vacuum chamber have a great impact on the beam uality. Especially for positron and proton accelerators, massive electrons will lead to the electron cloud, which adversely affect the stability, energy, emittance and beam life. We studied the secondary electron emission(SEE)of metal used for accelerators. A SEE measurement system with 50 ~5000eV low energy electron gun was designed. Using the secondary electron emission yield (SEY)test setup, we obtained the SEY of stainless steel and oxygen free copper. The maximum SEY of stainless steel and oxygen free copper are 2.5 and 1.82, respectively. Compared with the results reported by other research nstitutions, it’s indicated that our SEY test setup is reliable.
