The article presents a case study of a 10-year-old boy who was diagnosed with hereditary angioedema (HAE) after being referred for facial swelling and dysphagia, which had not occurred in the past. It notes his father has been hospitalized twice for abdominal pain of unknown cause and HAE was suspected given that there was also a family history of angioedema not associated with urticaria.
