After publication of the Catalogue of the Cenozoic plants of Bulgaria, researches into the fossil flora have continued unfailingly. Consequently, 24 new taxa have been registered for Bulgaria and over 20 of the so far known ones have been revised. Four new local paleofloras were studied and three old collections were supplemented with new fossil material. New data have been obtained on the geographical and stratigraphical distribution of the already established taxa. Furthermore, three overlooked publications were found, the data from which were not included in the catalogue, as well as some inaccuracies and omissions in the text. All this served as a precondition to systematize the new data and the revisions and corrections made to the Catalogue.
