MATERIALS AND METHODSA multicenter study was performed on a randomized sample of patients between December 1986 and December 1987.In Vitro Fertilization Techniques All the teams used the same techniques for ovarian stimulation protocols4, 5 and ultrasound control of follicular growth. In the laboratory, the same media was used by all the teams for sperm preparation, oocyte insemination, and embryo culture. Embryo replacement was performed with a Frydman catheter (CCD, Notre Dame de Loret-Paris, France) in< 40 JLL of medium. All these procedures were performed as described by Belaisch Allart et al. 5 The most important aspects are highlighted below.
