A thermal measurement was provided for the dimension of the large-size forging workpiece in literature.It can achieve the long-distance,on-line and untouched dimension measure of the large-size forging workpiece,so it not only improves the working condition of measure,but also advances the precision of measure greatly.CCD camera is the main sensor in the system,and it needs more times to measure.In this paper,a new mathematical model is provided for CCD picture-processing,and it can calculate the ellipse section dimension of forging workpiece by two times.
