For several years, Neurorehabilitation & Neural Repair has recognized the importance of standardized reporting guidelines for randomized clinical trials, observational studies, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, and case reports. They remain a critical part of our review process during both the submission and review stages. As rehabilitation research matures, a growing number of rehabilitation and disability journals are now implementing these standards in a more formal way. With this editorial, we enthusiastically join our colleagues in endorsing this initiative to mandate the use of reporting guidelines in rehabilitation research.
