Neutron scattering measurements have been made on a single crystal of CeIr3Si2which shows successive magnetic transitions atTN1=4.1 K andTN2=3.3 K. A long-time variation in magnetic structure has been observed. After rapidly cooling the sample belowTN2, the intensity of the Bragg peaks corresponding to a magnetic phase atTN2<T<TN1remains and decreases with time. Instead, the Bragg peak intensity corresponding to a magnetic phase atT<TN2increases with time. The characteristic time for this variation follows the Arrhenius law with an activation energyEa/kB=4 K. Magnetic structure models in two magnetic phases witha×8b×8canda×3b×3cstructures are presented. On the basis of these models, the mechanism of long-time variation of magnetic structure is discussed.
