In a recent paper, Bordes [3] demonstrated that the condition of ,1 + consistency is compatible with several very strong democratic restrictions on social choice functions. It is the purpose of this paper to determine exactly how compatible fl + and weaker consistency conditions are with various democratic requirements not considered by Bordes-specifically, the n-alternative extensions of the Binary Pareto and Duality conditions.
