As teachers we are always looking for new approaches and strategies for teaching our students the concepts of core subjects. We may try a different approach to a topic or a new style in which to teach a topic because as educators, we know that students learn in different ways and at different paces. As physical educators we are pressured not only to teach our subject area and motivate children to become active, but also to implement a cross-disciplinary curriculum. A cross-disciplinary curriculum is defined as developing learning experiences that integrate physical education with mathematics, science, language arts, social studies, and the arts (S. Cone, TP Cone, Werner, & Woods, 1998). Such a curriculum allows the learning experience to be more meaningful, fun, and rewarding for students by bridging the gap between physical education and other subject areas (Cone et al., 1998). As two physical educators in the same school district, the authors of this article decided to attack this chal-
