ABSTRACT Significant neurophysin activity as determined by radioimmunoassay has been found in three tumors associated with the syndrome of inappropriate antidiuresis. Extracts from these tumors also possessed A.D.H. -like activity on bioassay. In tumors unassociated with the syndrome neurophysin was undetected. The measurement of neurophysin may have wide applicability as an index of both physiological and pathological vasopressin secretion.
