Abstract The article presents Martha Nussbaum's moral reasoning supporting the theory of capabilities. It states that Nussbaum is greatly influenced by Amartya Sen's concepts on capabilities. Nussbaum presents application of capabilities as a solution to questions on social, moral and political philosophy suggesting its application on practical politics.
