Based on engineering practice and structural experiments of soft clay, a 2subsections model bounded by structural yield stress of Cvp and kp curves were developed. A 1D consolidation model for uniform structured soft foundation was set up. In deriving the formula, the soil structure characteristics were considered. The influences of soil structure characteristics and disturbance on the consolidation were also analyzed. The results of case study showed that the soil structures would destroy and extend to underside along with dissipation of pore water pressure, the consolidation of upper soil would restrains the consolidation settlement of nether soil and disturbance would slow down the settlement of foundation. The influence of soil structure characteristics on consolidation was notable.
