CONCLUSIONKon’s (2009) proposed framework of empirical bioethics must consider the interpretative limits of empirical research approaches in light of the different perspectives and practices that are possible from the realms of empirical and normative bioethics. These themes are worth exploring if our goal in empirical bioethics is to achieve greater clarity in our decisions and responses to the moral dilemmas of healthcare.■
