In the United States, this is a time of great uncertainty and scarcity. Because a major portion of the economy relies on housing development for employment and taxes on home ownership for educational funding, communities are in financial crisis and austerity cutbacks are impacting school programs for all children including those with neurodisability. In addition with the economic downturn, state revenues for funding programs of care coordination for children with special health care needs have been reduced substantially. It is in this light that the paper “Profiles of Family and Youth with CP” should be examined.
