The article discusses a study on transition of Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER) ER protein Sec16 in ER sites. Topics discussed include mediation of vesicular transport of cargo molecules between intracellular organelles, demonstration of Trk-fused gene (TFG), a Sec16-interacting protein in mammalian cells, in cluster COPII vesicles at the tER/Golgi interface and role of Sec16 in ER-to-Golgi transport.
