The fluctuations of electrical energy, generated by wind turbines, reflect the interaction between the turbulent wind field and a complex technical system. In this article we study time series of the integrated wind power production of a large number of spatially distributed wind energy converters. The aim is to characterize the fluctuations of wind power production on different time scales.
