We experimentally demonstrate chirped pulse digital holography for measuring the sequence of ultrafast optical wavefronts in the temporal resolution of 35 fs and the time separation of 3.7 ps. In this method, multiple ultrafast object pulses and a chirped reference pulse are interfered to record a digital hologram and optical wavefronts at different times can be reconstructed separately. The phase images of pressured air injected from a nozzle are obtained using multiple optical pulses. Also the phase images of spark discharge in a spark plug are obtained using a single-shot optical pulse. The phase distortion effect in chirped pulse digital holography and the method of its correction are shown.
