The article discusses advances in computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance (MR) environment to help children through the imaging study, without the need for sedation. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) compatible video goggles are employed in MRI digital video disc players with the screen on a moveable arm, and Snoezelen projectors are employed in CT and fluoroscopy. These improve patient and family satisfaction for those children who previously required sedation to undergo such imaging.
