Many facts have been learned about the exceedingly complex mechanism involved in the hearing organ, but, many of the research studies in hearing leave the impression that the investigator has disregarded some obvious and pertinent facts and has freely made assumptions which are not valid anatomically. The solution of the hearing problem seems to lie in the acceptance of the known facts and in their correlation with one another.
