Two new genera and six new species of schizomids are described from Belize, Guatemala, Honduras and Costa Rica. Data are also given on an undescribed species from Honduras, belonging to a possible new genus, of which only a fe- male is known. These additions raise to seven the number of genera of whip scorpions known from this area. At present, the Costa Rican fauna, the best studied in the Central American isthmus, includes four genera and 11 species.
