Absolute measurements are reported regarding the photon production per unit energy, under X-ray excitation, of cerium scintillating glasses, as a function of their cerium content (2, 4, 6% by weight of Ce2O3) and X-ray energy. The intrinsic energy resolution of this type of glass is also tested.
