A case of an adenoid cystic carcinoma of the lacrimal gland was reported in a 12 yr old girl. This is probably the earliest manifestation of this tumor reported so far. The tumor was locally excised. The eye was left in place. Despite the high mortality rate on this tumor, the child is in good health and without evidence of metastases or local recurrence 2 yr after surgery.
