本文记述了采自中国大别山的盾胸鱼属Pielomastax Chang一新种。模式标本保存于山东大学生物系和陕西师范大学生物系。三齿锯胸鲷Pielomastax tridentata sp. nov.（1- 5）该新种与细尾盘胸天牛Pielomastax tenuicerca Hsia et Liu相似，但在以下几个方面有所不同：（1）雄虫尾须的形状;（2）产卵器的腹侧瓣，有3个大齿;（3）雌虫生殖板下，后缘中部有近方形切迹。安徽：霍山，海拔700米，（31°40′N，116°32′E），1989年8月30日。1989年9月6 - 8日，湖北：英山，海拔900米，（30°71′N，115°67′E），王玉文、潘勇采集。
This paper gives a description of a new species of the Pielomastax Chang, collected fromDebie Mountains of China. The type specimens are deposited in the Department of Biology,Shandong University and Department of Biology, Shaanxi Normal University. Pielomastax tridentata sp. nov. (figs. 1--5) This new species is simillar to Pielomastax tenuicerca Hsia et Liu, but differs in: (1)theshape of male cercus; (2)ventral valvulae of the ovipositor with 3 large teeth; (3)subgenitalplate in female with subquadrate notch in the middle of the hind margin. Holotype , Allotype , Anhui: Huoshan, 700m, (31°40′N, 116°32′E), Aug. 30,1989, collected by Wang Yu-wen and Pan Yong, Paratypes 16 10 , Anhui: Huoshan,Aug. 30--Sept. 1, 1989, 3 11 , Hubei: Yingshan, 900m, (30°71′N, 115°67′E), Sept.6--8, 1989, collected by Wang Yu-wen and Pan Yong.
