While the mechanism we propose for the hormonal stimulation of Gs activation seems to be consistent with our kinetic and quasi-equilibrium data, it is still clearlyspeculative. Direct physical measurements of the receptor-Gs interaction and the dissociation of the subunits of Gs must be made in the vesicles, and the reconstitution of receptor with the resolved subunits of Gs will simplify this analysis.
