Topics are all conventional enough. There are five kriging chapterssimple, ordinary, universal, block, and cokriging. There are the attendant chapter topics for modeling-normalization, semivariogram, crossvalidation, drift, and residuals. Extension topics are stochastic simulation, reliability (confidence intervals), cumulative distribution estimators, and regionalized classification. Application occurs only through the exercises. Software discussion is brief and limited only to basic software such as Deutsch and Journel (1998). reported by Ziegel (1998). Altogether this is not a book that I would choose for learning geostatistics. The updated book by Hohn (1999), reported by Ziegel (2000) is a much better place to begin.
