The crystal structures of the orthorhombic modification of BaCl2, BaBr2, and Bal2 have been determined by X-ray diffraction of powder samples. The object of the investigation has been to obtain accurate atomic param-eters necessary forthe calculation of lattice energies. These parameters were refined by the method of least squares.
