Let G be a finite group. For a positive integer d, let s d N (G) denote the smallest integer ℓ such that every sequence S over G of length| S|≥ ℓ has a nonempty product-one subsequence T with| T|≡ 0 (mod d). In this paper, we mainly study this invariant for dihedral groups D 2 n and metacyclic groups C p⋉ s C q.
