This study proposes a small model experiment of microwave power transmission using the parallel plate waveguide. In the parallel plate waveguide, the electromagnetic wave can be regarded as two-dimensional. Therefore, we derived a two-dimensional theoretical equation by analogy with the Friis transmission formula. According to the theoretical equation, the electromagnetic wave attenuates in inverse proportion to the distance. The electromagnetic field simulation results were found to be close to the theoretical equations.
