ディーゼル機関の性能向上においては着火時期の制御が重要である. 著者らはオンボードでのサイクル毎の筒内温度を予測するため, エネルギ式などの物理法則に基づく低計算負荷なポリトロープ指数予測モデルを開発した. 実機実験および数値計算で妥当性を検証した結果, モデルの有用性が認められたので報告する.
