A child was treated from age 18 months to 8 years with oral methoxsalen and ultraviolet A radiation (PUVA) for refractory psoriasis. Two basal cell cancers developed before age 21 years, suggesting that exposure to PUVA in childhood increases the risk of basal cell cancer. (J Pediatr 1996;129:915-7)
