Surgical pathology is concerned with the diagnosis of disease through microscopic examination of biopsy specimens. This atlas is a pictorial reference to skin disease for the specialist pathologist working in a diagnostic laboratory, and compares histopathological findings with gross pathology and presenting signs. It is the first part of a multi-volume set Others in the series, edited by the same authors but with additional contributors, will feature the remaining organ systems.
