The dynamic drop volume method is introduced for measuring dynamic interfacial tensions at the oil/water interface. The time scale is from about 0.5 s upward. This method is in agreement with the more static drop volume method of E. Tornberg (J. Colloid Interface Sci.60, 50 (1977)). Experiments were performed for nonionic surfactants solved in the aqueous phase, resulting in diffusion controlled (eventually with rapid demicellization) adsorption kinetics. For cholesterol dissolved in the oil phase, adsorption kinetics are not ruled by diffusion nor by an adsorption barrier but by a reorientation process at the interface.
