In human subjects, afferent impulses elicited by thermal stimulation of the skin have been recorded so far from cutaneous nerve fibers responding to cooling (Hensel and Boman, 1960) and from fibers excited by noxious heat (van Hees and Gybels, 1972; TorebjGrk, 1974; TorebjGrk and Hallin, 1974). In the present note preliminary results are described of single warm fiber activity recorded from human cutaneous nerves.
