Exposure of eggs and young larvae, on and in apples, to cold-storage temps. of 30-31[degree] F (the temp. customarily used for storing apples and pears) for various periods, indicated that storage of infested fruit for 3? to 4 weeks at these temps. would kill, practically completely, any eggs or young larvae that might be present.
