汶川地震灾区次生灾害发生频繁，危害严重，根据野外调查和统计资料，对次生灾害的成因、危害和减灾进行了详细的分析和探讨，认为活动断裂是次生灾害的构造基础，松散的固体地表为次生灾害的发生提供了物质条件，地震活动对次生灾害的影响是巨大的。丰富的降水和地震是其动力来源，地震、暴雨和高温是其三大灾害链，造成人员死亡，地震后的恢复重建，必须在加强生态和工程措施的同时，加强生态和工程措施。
The secondary disasters take place frequently and damage seriously in Wenchuan quake-hit area,West China.Their causes,hazards and reduction are analyzed and discussed in detail according to field investigations and statistical data.Active faults are their structure foundation;the loose solid surface provides them with material conditions;rich precipitation and earthquakes are their power source.Three main hazard chains are resulted from earthquake,torrential rain and high temperature.They bring up human dead,property losses,environment destroy,construction engineering damage.Ecological and engineering measures are enhanced on the same time for post-earthquake reconstruction.
