Dear Editor, Atopic Dermatitis (AD) can have a profound effect on patients’ quality of life. 1 Patient-31 reported outcome measures (PROMs) can highlight the lived experience of adults and children with AD. 32 To guide selection of PROMs, the objectives of this study were to identify and outline the content 33 included in existing PROMs used in AD. 3435 Commonly used PROMs (English language) capturing health-related quality of life among patients with 36 AD were identified from previous systematic reviews by the Harmonizing Outcome Measures for Eczema 37 (HOME) group. 1, 2 These were stratified into adult and children/infant measures. For each PROM, the 38 content of each item and the phrasing (positive [eg,“I like the way my skin looks”], negative [eg,“I don’t 39 like the way my skin looks”], and neutral) were evaluated. Each item was assigned 3 levels of coding 40 (domain, subdomain, and health concepts). 3 Coding was performed by 3 researchers (AS, JY, JSB) 41 Analysis was done independently by researchers AS and JY with discrepancies in coding being 42 resolved by a third researcher, JSB Data collection and analysis were performed between August 2022 43 and December 2022 using Microsoft Excel. 44
