Red blood cells coming from ruptured vessels of chick embryos in-fected with strains of influenza A virus rapidly agglutinated in the allantoic fluid. Virus titrations and serum neutrali-zation tests were performed with eggs and the end points were found to be as sharp as those obtained with mice. Cross-neutralization tests were consistent with mice tests and a neutralization test with acute and convalescent serum from a case of influenza A demonstrated a rise in antibody titer in the convalescent serum. Further tests are being made.
