The constitution of 2 was confirmed by correct elemental analysis and by a molecular weight determination. According to the X-ray structure analy~ is,''~ the double bonds are arranged cisoid (Fig. 1). The 3'P-NMR spectrum shows the pattern expected for an ABX system with the AB part (PP double bond) shifted well downfield and an X part in the (pC)-double bond region.@ l
