Sleep disorder is prevalent in patients with HF and is an important factor that may contribute to HF development. Focusing on the association between sleep disorder, particularly OSA, and HFpEF may play a key role in linking many confounding factors to construct a wide variety of HFpEF phenotypes. Although there is insufficient evidence to improve cardiac function and mortality in patients with HFpEF, CPAP and ASV may improve the confounding factors related to HFpEF and prevent HFpEF onset.
