ALTHOUGH CXIANULOMATOUS ENCEPHALITIS and hydrocephalus of varying severity have been noted in association with cytomegalic inclusion disease, massive destructive local lesions have not been reported. Rapidly accumulating data concerning this disease indicate that the infective agent may be the cause of severe cerebral malformations. The case of an infant with cytomegalic inclusion disease, microgyria, and porencephaly is described.
