Fused rocket immunoelectrophoresis is a modified version of rocket immunoelectrophoresis. Aliquots of fractions obtained in separation experiments or of fractions from other experiments in which the distribution of one or more proteins must be analysed are transferred to a row of sample wells and are allowed to diffuse into an antibody-free agarose gel (Harboe & Svendsen, unpublished observation, 1969). The proteins are then by electrophoresis forced into an antibody-containing agarose gel. Antibodies must be raised against all antigens participating in the foregoing experiment. As a result, distribution profiles for each individual protein will appear as continuous precipitation lines over the corresponding sample wells.
