The Utrecht Work Engagement Scale for Students (UWES-S; Schaufeli et al., 2002) was based on the 17-item UWES (Schaufeli et al., in press) to assess student engagement. The items of the UWES were modified from work or job to studies or class for students. The items are categorized into three subscales: Vigor (VI), Dedication (DE), and Absorption (AB). The Spanish version of the UWES-S was translated into Portuguese by the third author, and subsequently a bilingual psychologist checked both versions for semantic and syntactic equivalence. Data were collected from undergraduate students originating from three European universities in Castellón (Spain), Lisbon (Portugal), and Utrecht (the Netherlands), respectively. Confirmatory factor analysis, structural equation modeling, and measurement invariance were reported for this revised scale.(PsycTests Database Record (c) 2020 APA, all rights reserved)
