The process of acquiring goals for system development and the process of analyzing the objectives of a system has been addressed in depth in the available research work in Goal Oriented Requirements Engineering,although there has been significantly less attention paid to the process of acquiring the nonfunctional requirements/goals for system development. In this paper, we present a survey work on the multiple perspectives of Goals in requirements engineering, the Goal oriented requirements engineering background, and Modeling and specifying of goals.
