The paper provides the methods for thrips collection and slide preparation.Thrips(Thysanoptera) may be beaten from flowers,leaves and dead twigs.The slide preparation has two purposes,temporary slides for routine identification and permanent slides for archiving or taxonomic studies.It deals mainly with the procedure of preparing the permanent slides and it includes five steps,maceration,washing,dehydration,mounting,and desiccation.
