Differentiated uredosporelings contained less total folate, less methylated folates, but more formylated folates of low levels of conjugation than did undifferentiated uredosporelings. The extracts contained spermidine and smaller amounts of an unidentified polyamine. The polyamine content increased after germination, especially after formation of infection structures.
