Materials and MethodsProthrombin. Bovine prothrombin was purified by a modification (Nelsestuen and Suttie, 1972a) of the method of Ingwall and Scheraga (1969) and byacrylamide gel electrophor-etic analysis contained no single contaminating protein which accounted for as much as 1% of the total protein.
