在对金合欢树干皮的化学成分进行研究的过程中，发现金合欢树干皮的化学成分主要为：从菱叶草（rhombeosignatum Markalum）中分离得到2种新的天然吲哚生物碱，分别为利马精脒（或21羟基-aspidospermidine）和15，16，17-三甲氧基-21-氧代aspidoalbidine。两者之前都曾被报道为合成产品。
During investigations on the constituents of the trunk bark of A. rhombeosignatum Markgraf, 2 new natural indole alkaloids were isolated, limaspermidine (or 21 hydroxy-aspidospermidine) and 15,16,17-trimethoxy-21-oxoaspidoalbidine. Both have previously been reported as synthetic products.
