This paper investigates the estimation accuracy of the channel capacity equation, which requires only S-parameter of the antennas and has been proposed by the authors. This equation does not requires either complex 3D radiation patterns nor channel matrix. The evaluation based on the simulation is performed by using a PIFA array. The simulated results show that the capacity calculated from the equation well agrees with that of the geometry-based simulation, and the channel capacity equation makes the evaluation of the MIMO antenna greatly easier than the conventional evaluation methods.
